Journal History

"Iranian Journal of Pulses Research" is a scientific journal that has been published semiannually (two issues per year) and regularly since June 2010 by Research Center for Plant Sciences, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.

Publishing schedule

The journal is published semiannually, and the table below shows the exact dates of publication for each volume per year. The journal adheres to this publishing schedule unless there are exceptional circumstances.

Digital Preservation Policy

Website Archiving

All of our electronic content, including the Journal's website and manuscripts, is archived in two different ways. Firstly, the PDF format of the journal's content is accessible online to readers from our main server. Secondly, a copy of all content is kept as a backup on another server. In case of any problem in the journal website, it can be made available online again within 24-36 hours from our backup server.

Moreover, every published issue of the journal is sent to the following databases: [Internet Archive (since 2018), Portico & Iran Scientific Journals System]

Therefore, the content can be accessed at any time even when the journal website doesn’t work.

 

Abstracting/Indexing databases

The main information and the abstract of all the manuscripts has been published in the Iranian Journal of Pulses Research, indexed in different databases. The list of these databases has been mentioned in ”Indexing and Abstracting” in the 'Indexing and Abstracting' section.

Self-Archiving

Authors can archive the final published version of their articles in personal or institutional repositories, after their manuscript’s publication.

Open Access Policy

This is an open access journal from the first issue that has been published (2010), which means that all content is freely available without charge to users or their institutions. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the manuscripts, or use them for any other legal purpose, without requiring prior permission from the publisher or author.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content based on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Copyright

  • Copyright is preserved for the authors of the Iranian Journal of Pulses Research under the  Open Access License.
  • Authors give permission to Ferdowsi University of Mashhad to publish their manuscripts and present itself as the main publisher.
  •  The authors also give permission to any third party to use freely the manuscript as long as its integrity is preserved and the original authors, citation details and publisher are specified.

The Editorial Board, Reviewers, and Authors are encouraged to study the Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement for the Iranian Journal of Pulses Research. If they encounter any issues, including plagiarism, citation manipulation, or data falsification/fabrication in submitted or published m,anuscripts, they should contact the Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Nezami at nezami@um.ac.ir or the publisher's principal contact at fumpress@um.ac.ir, and they will feedback on these issues according to the  COPE flowcharts.

Peer review policy

In this journal, the editorial board has not been selected as a reviewer unless there isn’t any other reviewer in the manuscript field.

  • The method of reviewing the manuscripts in this journal is double-blind.

Article Processing Charge (APCs)

There is no submission fee, publication fee or page charge for manuscripts written in Persian and English language.

  • There are no fees for membership, sending a manuscript or other supplementary charges.
  • Author fee information are easy to find and presented in About Journal and also in the submission process (Cover Letter & Checklist).

Other revenue

Ferdowsi University of Mashhad as the publisher of the journal, supports it for each published issue by paying a defined budget according to its published annual rank in Portal of Scientific Journals of Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. The allocated budget includes those pertaining to setup and maintenance of the publication infrastructure, routine operation of the Journal, processing of manuscripts through peer-reviews, editing, publishing, maintaining the scholarly record, and archiving.

Advertising

This Journal does not accept any advertising.

Direct marketing

There is no direct marketing activity in this journal.

Paper Plagiarism Checker

To prevent plagiarism, Iranian Journal of Pulses Research uses Hamyab system for persian paper and iThenticate system for identifying English Extended abstracts. Before sending to the reviewers, all manuscripts are checked for any similarity, and if the percentage of similarity is more than 20%, the article will be withdrawn from the review process.

The Names and Email addresses entered in this journal’s website will be used exclusively for the purposes of publishing the Journal and will not be available to any other person or organization.
